The verse above captures the week perfectly. We’ve learned about the life of Joseph in the first book of the Bible in Genesis. In so doing, we’ve also learned a lot about the life of Jesus. Jesus, too, was misunderstood, mistreated and suffered injustice. But, he too, offered forgiveness in place of malice. A new chance at life for those who had wrecked everything for themselves. Hopefully we have been able to share the Gospel of Jesus through the beauty of this story from the Old Testament. What people often intend for evil, God can indeed, turn into something very Good.
