Building relationships by engaging and connecting people with God’s Word!

Because they endured multiple generations of communist imposed scientific atheism, there is no older generation to come alongside the Spiritual Orphans in Central and East Europe, Russia, the Baltics, the Balkans, and Ethiopia. This means that there are millions of people who:

  • Don’t know they have a Father in Heaven who loves them.
  • Don’t know they have Brothers and Sisters in Christ.
  • Don’t know there is a global family of Believers where they can be nurtured in the Light and Hope of Jesus Christ.

In John 14:18-20 (ESV), Jesus tells his disciples, “I will not leave you as orphans. I will come to you. Yet a little while and the world will see me no more, but you will see me. Because I live, you also will live. In that day you will know that I am in my Father, and you in me.” Jesus is, of course, speaking of His promise of the Holy Spirit which dwells in us as Believers.

Spiritual Orphans are people left without a connection to God. YOU ARE THAT CONNECTION!

All Christian missions should have the same goal…that is to spread the Gospel message as we have been commanded by Scripture. Many mission trips focus first on meeting physical needs (digging a well, building/fixing a home, clothing, and feeding). These are good and necessary ministries, but often, the Gospel message becomes secondary to the social aspects. SON mission trips are different because we already have long-term relationships with our partners in ministry and can share the Gospel immediately and boldly with the people we encounter.
