🌍🙏 Slovak Mission Trip Update! 🙏🌍
Greetings from Slovakia! 🇸🇰✨ We are thrilled to let you know that the Slovak mission team has safely arrived and settled in after a long journey. It’s been an incredible start to our adventure, and we can’t wait to share our experiences with all of you!
Upon landing at Košice Airport on Thursday afternoon, we hopped on a bus and made our way to the beautiful town of Vranov, about an hour’s ride away. The scenic journey allowed us to take in the stunning landscapes and get a taste of the vibrant Slovakian culture.
Our first evening was spent getting acclimated to the time change and ensuring that everyone felt comfortable in their accommodations. It was a time of excitement and anticipation for the days ahead.
On Friday, we hit the ground running with team training sessions. We focused on honing our skills, learning about the local customs and traditions, and discussing the goals we hope to achieve during our time here. The enthusiasm and dedication within our team are truly inspiring!
After the training, we embarked on a shopping trip to gather supplies for the upcoming camp activities. It was a chance to immerse ourselves in the local markets, interact with the friendly locals, and source the necessary items needed for a successful camp.
Prayer, praise, and petitions have been an integral part of our journey so far. We are incredibly grateful that our team arrived on time, safe, and healthy. We’ve already witnessed the power of prayers as we’ve encountered smooth travels and a warm welcome from the locals.
However, we have a specific prayer request. We kindly ask for your support in praying that Sheri’s luggage, which unfortunately went missing during transit, is located and delivered to our camp this week. We believe in the power of prayer, and together, we can turn this situation around.
We are eagerly looking forward to the days ahead as we embark on this mission trip. Please keep us in your thoughts and prayers as we strive to make a positive impact in the lives of the people we meet and serve here in Slovakia.
