Albania Camp (Week 2) Teen Camp Day 1
July 7, 2025
“Full-filled”
Day 1: Teen Camp
Teen camp launched with two key questions: “Who am I?” and “Why do I feel empty?” These set the tone for a day of deep reflection and connection.
The morning began with a creative skit portraying Adam and Eve’s experience after the Fall. Through this dramatization, students explored the concept of emptiness resulting from our separation from God. As the characters realized, “It was being with God” that filled their lives, not the “stuff of this world.”
In small groups, campers delved into discussions about the various ways people attempt to fill the void—through pursuits like money, power, fame, and entertainment. They also engaged in creative activities, illustrating the concept of emptiness through art.
The group studied passages from Ecclesiastes, reflecting on King Solomon’s insights. Despite his immense wealth and wisdom, Solomon concluded that “everything is meaningless, a chasing after the wind,” highlighting the futility of worldly pursuits without a relationship with God .
The day was balanced with moments of fellowship—sharing meals, enjoying coffee, playing “Would You Rather,” and engaging in spirited volleyball matches.
The afternoon concluded with Brian sharing his personal testimony. He recounted how, at 13, he grappled with fitting in and finding genuine friendships. The book of Ecclesiastes resonated with him, leading to the realization that his true identity and fulfillment are found in Christ.
